Despite the fact that it’s legitimately horribly written, E.L.James’ “Fifty Shades” trilogy is one of the biggest book series in recent history, selling over 100 million copies worldwide. And yes, I was one of the hundreds of thousands that devoured the books like a dieting woman at an ice cream sundae bar on cheat day.
While I didn’t read the fourth book in the series, a retelling of the first book from Christian’s point of view, plenty of people did, and have been clamoring for the second book to also be written from Mr. Gray’s POV. Well, on Saturday, on what would be heroine Anastasia Steele’s 27th birthday, James dropped a gift on Facebook for fans of the series.
Yes, that’s right, “Fifty Shades Darker” from Christian’s point of view is coming, and James expects it to be on the shelves sometime in 2017, which is also when the “Fifty Shades Darker” movie is supposed to come out in theaters. So much bondage, so little time..
