24 Things A Small Town Girl Can Relate To When She Leaves For A Big City

  1. Your whole life is constantly dependent on a GPS.
  2. You haven’t been to or heard of most of the restaurants your friends want to dine at.
  3. Having multiple huge grocery stores makes life so much easier.
  4. ESPECIALLY Target.
  5. Everyone automatically assumes you grew up on a farm.
  6. It makes you uncomfortable not knowing literally everybody’s name and life story.
  7. You fall in love thirty-six times as you walk down the street because you aren’t used to seeing that many attractive guys in a row.
  8. There is a huge difference between highways and back roads.
  9. Nobody really gives a shit about what you do anymore.
  10. So. Many. Stoplights.
  11. Tinder isn’t constantly searching for new people.
  12. You can finally experience the luxury of a mall in the same town as you.
  13. Jaywalking all of the time is a thing of your past.
  14. Guys actually send “You up?” texts. Back home they knew what you were doing literally 24/7.
  15. There is a plentiful amount of bars, not just one or two.
  16. And bar specials exist.
  17. Hipsters are real people. You’ve always thought of them as mythical creatures.
  18. You save a lot of gas by not having to go from town to town just to run errands.
  19. It’s a blessing to drink alcoholic beverages besides beer.
  20. If you have a one-night stand, you don’t have to worry about ever seeing them again.
  21. The bus couldn’t be more complicated.
  22. It’s harder to get out of tickets because you no longer know all of the cops on a personal level.
  23. Fast food restaurants stay open past 2 a.m., which means you can actually feed your drunk desires unlike ever before.
  24. More people are at your school than are in your hometown.

It’s a whole new world out there.
