Ben & Jerry’s Renamed A Popular Flavor In Honor Of Marriage Equality And It’s Absolutely Adorable

It’s a big day for America. The ability to love and wed freely is one of the best strides we’ve made towards equality in a long time, and I think that’s definitely worth celebrating. The folks over at Ben & Jerry’s agree, and have renamed one of their most popular flavors for the summer. “Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough” will now be called “I Dough, I Dough.”

Ben & Jerry’s stated on its website that they changed the name to “celebrate the occasion, and the countless citizens who’ve worked so hard to make it happen.” As if we needed a good reason to eat ice cream, right?

But it gets better. 100% of the proceeds from each pint of “I Dough, I Dough” purchased from the Human Rights Campaign will be used to support their fight for transgender, bisexual, lesbian, and gay equality. Buying a pint from the HRC will also give you a coupon for another free pint of ice cream. So basically, it’s time to get fat for a good cause.

God bless America. And the leaders of this great nation, Ben and Jerry.
