Calvin Harris, in all his chiseled jawline glory, so graciously posed for the cover of GQ Britain’s October issue and looks sexy AF. In the magazine, he also finally opened up about his disaster relationship with Taylor Swift, and it made us love him even more than we already do.
In the article, Calvin admitted that the media frenzy that came after the split was all a little much for his normal off-the-radar status.
“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly… The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself… When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus… She respected my feelings in that sense.”
That all changed when they broke up and suddenly Calvin was thrust into drama, starting with the Twitter drama that sparked after Taylor called out Calvin for not giving her credit on his hit song, “This is What You Came For.” He totally said what we were all thinking and put Swift in her place by tweeting, “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex-BF down for something to do.”
But in the GQ article, his humble and sweet side is front and center as he apologized for lashing out, saying, “It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled… It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped… I’m not good at being a celebrity, but when it ended, all hell broke loose… Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure…It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters. I’m a positive guy.”
We’re sure you are, Cal. He’s also someone who can own up to his mistakes, which is more than we can say about Taylor Swift, who is now single. Again.
*Calvin drops the mic.*.
