David Beckham Does Almost Nude Pushups To Raise Awareness For Veteran Suicide Prevention

Nice Move

Typically, guys doing pushups doesn’t do a whole lot for my libido. The grunting and the sweating that usually accompanies that particular activity sort of detracts from the sexiness of it all. It’s rare that I come across a totally built guy doing pushups on the mats at the gym with quiet ease, and that’s when the whole rippling muscle thing starts to really make sense. So, I guess that earlier statement should be edited: guys doing pushups can be sexy af, as long as they’re done right. And the absolute king of doing them right just happens to be David Beckham.

The man does nothing half-assed, and for that, we can all thank him. Mr. Beckham recently posted a video on Instagram of him doing pushups on top of a grand piano, no less as part of an initiative to raise awareness for the prevention of veteran suicide. Many other celebs have done this “22 Pushup Challenge,” but Beckham’s takes the cake. The entire scene combined is what makes the video so perfect. First of all, David Beckham is wearing nothing but his underwear; I guess when you become an underwear model the world seeing you in nothing but your briefs just doesn’t faze you anymore. This convenient wardrobe choice provides us with a view of tattoos and toned pec muscles, and the angle also makes it look like he’s totally naked, so go ahead and imagine that’s true.

There are also two glasses of wine on the piano (for backdrop aesthetic purposes?) that add a touch of refinement and mystery to the production. To top it all off, David Beckham is the fucking god of bedroom eyes. The fact that he stares into the camera essentially the entire time turns the video into what feels like a “Fifty Shades of Grey” excerpt. I can almost convince myself that I’m lying underneath him on that piano, drinking wine and enjoying the view. On top of that, obviously, the pushups are for a great cause. So let a girl look and dream without judgment, okay?

My favorite things are tiaras, compliments, and free drinks, which are becoming harder to come by the more I tend to show up at the bar in sweat pants. The proudest moment of my life so far has been landing an actual, paying job that allows me to Facebook stalk people for a living. I tweet about my mom way too often, who is constantly trying to remind me that I'm not nearly as cool as I think I am. Please send me funny stories to read at work here: shannon.laynee@yahoo.com
