Disney Just Announced A Whole Bunch Of REALLY Exciting Stuff In the Works

Disney

We love Disney. That’s not news. It’s no secret. We spend an absurd amount of money on Mickey ears, park tickets, and transportation just so we can Instagram a picture throwing what we know in front of the castle. We all have a princess we dressed up as for the majority of our Halloweens growing up. And no matter how old we get, we continue to know, and belt out, every word to every Disney song ever created.

So, I’m just going to cut to the chase here. At the D23 Expo (hosted by the D23, the official Disney fan club) over the weekend, a lot of things happened. The company announced that a brand-new, 14-acre land themed to Star Wars will be added to Disneyland in California and to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. They reunited the voice actors who played Aladdin and Jasmine in the original classic.

And finally, they announced that they were going to have a whole bunch of celebrities cover some of our favorite Disney songs. This 15-track compilation is set to be released on October 30, so you know. Just in time for all of our Halloween pregames. Disney. They just get it.

The list of songs and artists was recently released on Cosmopolitan, and it. looks. amazing.

In case you can’t wait until Halloween eve, here’s a little sample of what’s to come. Sure, it’s not as good as Robin Williams’ original, but it’s still Disney, and it’s still catchy, so we can’t complain.

Time to whip out my Aurora costume. It’s going to be a very Disney Halloween.
