“Gossip Girl” Delivers The Best News Since “Gossip Girl”

Lilly and Rufus

Hey there, Upper East Siders. Missed me? Of course you did.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any good news, but what’s a gossip girl without a late and dramatic entrance? I’ve just been bidding my time for something truly juicy with which to make my grand reappearance. And no, before you start asking, I’m not Lonely Boy Dan Humphrey anymore. Thank God. That hair still gives me nightmares.

So, what on Earth could have happened that was so huge it would make me come out of retirement? I’ve been keeping my eye on our favorite East Siders to see what they’ve been doing, and they haven’t been doing me wrong in the drama department. What a surprise, right?

With S and her handsome new arm candy expecting their first baby and B finally finding herself in music, I’ve had my hands full. But now, I have something that will make you swoon, and it concerns none other than Lonely Boy’s dad. Why can’t I shake that family yet?

Rumor has it that Lily and Rufus are rekindling the romance, just in time for yet another eventful Thanksgiving. Actors Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle have literally been spreading their love everywhere. While I’m normally not a fan of Rufus’s mooching ways or Lily’s lying games, I can’t help but feel happy for them–and proud of myself. I mean, if it wasn’t for me, they never would have met. You’re welcome, guys.

While they didn’t end up together at the end of my series (sorry for the spoiler, but if you haven’t finished it yet, you’re severely slacking) they just might be making the world right by being a thing in real life. While it’s not totally confirmed, I’ve always believed that a picture is worth a thousand words (and reputations). And would I let you down without some hardcore photo evidence?

Their Instagrams are littered with pictures of the two of them together–and here I thought I could pack away my Lily and Rufus dreams forever. Oh, to be in love.

The biggest question on all of our minds: will they finally be able to stay together, or will they once again crash and burn? You can’t help but adore them for never giving up, and making everything so absurdly entertaining. Don’t you just love this dramatic time of year?

Until next time, Upper East Siders.

You know you love me.

XOXO.
