4 Greek Women Share Real Stories About Domestic Abuse (Video)

Dating can be hard. Dating in college can be even harder. Trying to navigate the land mines that are bars, booze, and other slutty bitches (you know the ones I’m talking about) makes snagging a boyfriend feel like an almost impossible feat. So when you actually manage to do it, you never want to let him go. But sometimes you have to. Sometimes your life depends on it.

Four sorority women recently spoke up to tell real stories of real domestic abuse cases. To tell real stories about love, loss, pain, and strength. They call their short video, “Love Stories Not About Love” and it is something everyone should see.

These four Greek women from different chapters came together to discuss something every college woman needs to know. Because, as they pointed out, 43 percent of dating college women will experience relationship violence. And 1 in 8 women will develop clinical depression because of a failed relationship. You’re not alone. And it’s not easy. But knowing there are other people out there who have been through it, knowing there are people rooting for you, and knowing there are people who want to help you can make all of the difference.

Don’t waste another second on someone who doesn’t treat you right. Get out. Now. And never, ever look back. Someday you’ll realize it was the best decision you could have ever made.
