Other college campuses, Imma letchu finish, but the University of Wisconsin-Madison has the best philanthropy event of all time. Since 1948, they’ve been putting on a comedy show called Humorology, or Humo for short. Fraternity and sorority chapters team up and over 600 students write, direct, produce and star in their own original comedic musical shows that go along with the year’s theme. It’s like Greek Sing on steroids.

This weekend, seven out of ten acts were chosen to perform in a weekend long event. The acts compete not to only get to the final show, but also to try to raise the most money. Collectively, they raised $140,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and Dane County chapter of United Cerebral Palsy.

A musical comedy show would be absolutely unheard of at many other schools. The average person can’t carry a tune or properly deliver a knock-knock joke, let alone do both. This year’s video hasn’t been released yet, but to check out some crazy talented shows from the past, click here.

Clearly something is in the water at UW-M, and I would like a sip.
