Is “Sex And The City” Coming Back?

satc might be coming back

Sex and the City aired its final episode in 2004, but we never stopped being obsessed with it. The group’s sage advice on everything from relationships to friendships to blow jobs (thanks, Samantha) is pretty much timeless. Two movies and countless reruns later, the Sex and the City craze is far from over. We. Want. More.

Sarah Jessica Parker spoke to PA about what’s next for the franchise and didn’t rule out the potential for more SATC.

“I don’t think any of us have said no. I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie,” she said. “I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved. I think that’s always a possibility, definitely.”

Actors usually play it pretty close to the chest with stuff like this, but that answer seems pretty confident to me.

As if that wasn’t enough to get your hopes up, Willie Garson, the actor who played Stanford, had previously told Digital Spy that all four BFFs and creator Michael Patrick King would always be up for more SATC.

“We honestly don’t know. I know that Sarah [Jessica Parker] and Michael had at one point had an idea for a story, but we honestly don’t know,” he told Harper’s Bazaar. “Any time we tease anyone with the possibility, we’re just being cheeky!”

Stanford insists that he would be part of whatever SJP and Michael Patrick King decide to do, whether that be a series or a movie.

“I would make a hundred of them. I’ll be in a walker with a broken hip! But I would keep going,” he said. “I don’t think any of us would say, ‘Absolutely not, I want to leave that part of my life behind me’. I have no idea when or if that were to happen.”

So if everyone is down, what’s the hold up?! I’m dying to see what the girls are up to these days. Are Carrie and Big still Carrie and Big? How is Charlotte dealing with her daughter approaching her teenage years and discovering her sexuality? Is Miranda even more of a bitter bitch in her older age, or did she finally take a chill pill? Even more importantly than all of that, I must know what Samantha is doing. I need to know.

Fingers crossed this actually happens.
