Justin Bieber is a tricky case. First, he was a whiney little parasite who sang the most God-awful lyrics about wanting to be someone’s boyfriend. It was lame but also catchy as hell. And then he has his run-ins with the law, which involved eggings someone’s house and maybe weed — it was the most vanilla “bad boy” phase ever and it made my ovaries shrivel so I don’t remember all of the details.
Anyway, the point was, he was the last person anyone would ever want to bang.
And then, well, he got hot. It was shocking and strange but suddenly we all maybe kind of wanted to bone Bieber. And for the most part, I don’t think it would be that hard. I mean, despite his new muscles and decent music, he was still, well, Justin Bieber. The only problem? His ex, Selena. You know. Gomez.
Selena Gomez is a hard freaking act to follow. She’s hot. She’s funny. She’s talented. And she somehow seems likeable, even though she’d probably never talk to any of us. The point is, she’s almost impossible to beat. So when Justin started hanging out with Sofia Richie a month or so ago, his fans had a lot to say about it. So much so, in fact, that he is now considering making his Instagram account private because he’s tired of the hate.
In case you’re sitting here wondering who the hell Sofia Richie is (don’t worry, I was too), she’s Nicole’s sister and Lionel Richie’s other daughter. But just because she’s famous(ish) it doesn’t mean his fans are cool with the “downgrade.” He posted six pictures exactly like this one, basically spamming his fans. And in case you missed the lovely caption on the photo, here’s what it says,
I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.
Yeah, people shouldn’t be mean. But he also gets a million likes per photo and is dating people like Selena Gomez and Nicole Richie’s sister so like, eh. Man, he’s got it tough. Sad!.

Selena Gomez left this comment on Justin Bieber’s Instagram post basically telling him to cool it with all the pics of him and his new girlfriend. Total crazy ex-girlfriend move.
Coming from the girl whose relationship with Justin was VERY public, telling him to keep his relationship between the two of them is kind of ironic. She also posted this collage of her and her fans to Instagram shortly after leaving that comment.
Although her comment comes off a little bitter, she makes a point. Selena is making it abundantly clear that she has her priorities in check: fans first, relationship second. And really, can you blame the girl for sticking up for his fans while also maybe encouraging him to keep his new girlfriend off social media? Mad respect, Selena.
Justin couldn’t let his ex-girlfriend have the last word. He left this comment in reply to Selena.
