Nice Move

Kappa Delta

Most sorority houses are empty in early January. Which is probably what a pair of thieves thought when they broke into the Kappa Delta House at San Jose State University early Tuesday morning. Unfortunately for both the burglars, and one unlucky sister, they were wrong.

According to CBS San Francisco, one unnamed sister was sleeping in the house when she was awoken by the two intruders ransacking rooms. The sister called the police at 3:34 a.m. to say that someone was inside the house and stealing property and to GTF over there now. The officers who responded to the call searched the area, but did not find any suspects. Several rooms were vandalized, but only one electronic item was stolen. Luckily, the sister was not injured.

Police are still looking for the prowlers, although the description of two males wearing hooded sweatshirts is pretty vague. But even they agree it’s a pretty weird story. Captain Alan Cavallo of the University Police Department said, “It’s a pretty brazen thing for someone to go in when someone’s asleep. Burglars don’t typically like to be confronted.”

Thank goodness the sister was not hurt, and that it was winter break. This could have been much worse if more sisters had been back in residence. Stay safe everyone.

There really did used to be 2NOTBrokeGirls, but since one of them spent all of her money on shoes and vodka, there's now just one (financially stable) J, who is too lazy to change her user name. J spends her free time saving the world, one sorority girl at a time (usually while wearing yoga pants), questioning why she decided to go to graduate school, and documenting her love of all things cheese related. You can ask her anything you want about football, using your boobs to get what you want, and pizza at @2NOTBrokeGirls on Twitter or 2NOTBrokeGirls@gmail.com.
