Keeping Up With the Kardashians Has Stopped Filming

It has been a chaotic last few months in the lives of the Kardashians. While the rest of the family has kept busy, with Khloé debuting a new workout show, Kylie releasing more makeup, Kendall fighting to be seen as the only chill Kardashian, and Kourtney, well, I still don’t know exactly what she does, the true queen of the family, Kim, has stayed noticeably absent from the spotlight since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris in early October.

If the robbery wan’t already enough for Kim to be struggling with, her husband, Kanye West, has recently been hospitalized due to his mental exhaustion. TMZ reports that the entire family will take a break from filming their show, and filming has been shut down temporarily. What we consider entertainment — the constant fighting, family drama and weird relationships (hello Rob and Chyna!) — must be mentally and physically exhausting for the family. KUWTK has been filming since 2007, so I can imagine that a break from the cameras, and knowing that your next fight with your sister won’t end up on national headlines, might be a nice change.

Fans who are worried about not receiving their drama fix shouldn’t worry. While there was no statement released about the official date that filming will resume, the fact that this hiatus will only be temporary has been stressed. For the time being, producers have enough footage to create an entire twelfth season (the cameras must really never stop filming). While some may be disappointed knowing that the family will not be airing a holiday episode, I’m sure that some of the other family members will be sure to share the precious family bonding moments on every platform of social media possible.

Lets hope that Kim & co. are able to recover from their recent traumas, and are back to realty TV, to talk about how they recovered from said traumas, soon.
