Luke Bryan Makes 6-Year-Old Girl Famous On Stage

If you still don’t know what you want to be when you grow up, you should probably take a step back and realize that you want to be Kylee, the 6-year-old girl who was swept off her feet by Luke Bryan at one of his recent concerts. Never before have I been genuinely envious of a 6-year-old like I was today when I watched the viral video. All hail Luke Bryan. The man is already a country star saint with his good looks and great music, but he has now taken his reputation to a whole other level. And dammit, it’s a good one.

If you haven’t seen the video yet, prepare yourself for a mouthful of “Aww,” “Oh my God,” and “What a lucky bitch.” It is one of the cutest, most heartwarming videos in today’s news. Who knew you could be so happy yet so jealous of someone who is only six years old?

So much awesome in this video. Taking a little girl from her father and hauling her onto the stage was a bold move by Bryan, but luckily, dad and daughter alike were all for it. What commenced from there was pure magic. I melted as Luke Bryan danced around the stage and sung with little Kylee (whose voice is just fucking adorable), but mostly I’m impressed by the gamble he took. Just think how horribly this would have gone had the girl, being awkward and scared, peed her pants, cried, or run off stage? Would have made Bryan look like a grade-A pedophile. Fortunately, Kylee did none of those things, and was quite the star in the spotlight. I give her a lot of credit for being such a good time. Call me in twelve years, Kylee. You look like you know how to party.

The best part of the whole spectacle is that Luke Bryan offered our little starlet an immediate record deal as soon as his performance of the song ended. Talk about the perfect ending to a perfect experience. Jealousy is an understatement in this case. Seriously, though, can I be her?

Congratulations to Kylee and a moment of silence for the whole spectacular event — every little girl’s dream. And Luke, a word of advice: just because I’m 20 years old and 130 pounds doesn’t mean you can’t pick me up from the audience and lift me into your arms at the next concert. I’ll even make my dad hold me on his shoulders if that’s what it takes. He’ll probably break his neck, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures. Fux it.
