Maybe Give The Guy You Friend Zoned A Chance

Friend Zone

They’re our safety nets, our go-to guys, the listening ear when our girlfriends don’t want to hear us talk about ourselves. The friend zone, while a relatively new term has been around since the beginning of time. I say we end it. Give in. Let all of your stupid reasons and madeup fears go and date the poor guy. He is the perfect guy for you and he’s going to make one hell of a boyfriend.

1. He knows you inside and out.
He’s been watching and studying you since the day you met. Is it kind of creepy? Yeah, but the benefits outweigh the creep factor tenfold.. He knows what you like and what you don’t like. He knows what movies you’ll want to watch because he’s the one you text when you want a relaxing night in. That necklace you’ve had in your online shopping cart for the past four months but have been too broke to buy yourself? He already has it wrapped for your birthday in a few weeks. He carries around that extra sweatshirt for you sweetheart, not because he gets cold. Guys don’t get cold. It’s in their DNA make-up or something.

2. You won’t have to worry about him leaving you.
He’s stuck around for the past 3 years and hasn’t complained once! Well, at least not to your face, which is another plus. He’s considerate enough of your feelings that he’s not going to go around actively trying to hurt them. The fact that he never considered finding another girl to date should be reason enough. You know he’s loyal, unlike those other fuckboys who text the next girl on their list the moment you take your eyes off them.

3. He’s good in bed.
The rules of the friend zone dictate that you’ve never even thought about what a night in the sack with him would be like, but trust me, it’s going to be good. You’ve more than likely told him about a few of your failed one-night stands and because he pays attention, he’s not going to make the same mistakes. He may not know exactly what you like, but he sure as hell knows what you don’t like and that’s enough to make any girl thank her lucky stars.

4. Your friends already like him.
They know he’s going to treat you right because they’ve watched him treat you like a princess for past few years. He’s been there for them as much as he has for you. They trust him because you trust him. There won’t be any chance of a fight over him either. The guy is clearly in love with you and no one wants to mess that up. The hardest part of having a new boyfriend is getting your friends’ approval. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that. Your sisters blessed the relationship long before you realized you’d even be in one.

So give the guy a chance. Give the dog a bone or whatever. He’s been waiting long enough. Both of you deserve a little happiness in your life. Why not have it together? And if it doesn’t work out, fear not. Another one will be along soon to take his place.
