I’ve always wondered what exactly goes on while filming a sex scene. Are they really naked? What happens if he actually gets a boner? How do his thrusts look so… legit? What happens if the two actors actually hate each other? Does this fuel a fake hate-fuck? So many questions.
And Mindy Kaling is prepared to answer them all. The star features a whole chapter in her upcoming book dedicated to the details behind filming a sex scene, and we.are.pumped. She rats out stars who consistently complain about filming the dirty deed, and goes on to say that she actually really loves fake baby making.
When asked why she enjoys the scenes, Mindy explains, “Obviously onscreen sex is not actual penetrative sex, but, as any religious high schooler will tell you, simulating sex can be pretty damn enjoyable as well.” Damn straight it is.
I would agree with her. Not that I’ve ever pretended to have sex in front of a camera, but I wouldn’t bitch if I were given the opportunity to roll around with a bonified Hollywood actor. It may be awkward, but the kissing isn’t fake, and who wouldn’t want to make out with a movie star? No one. That’s who. There’s absolutely nothing wrong or weird about a super hot and super chaste make out sesh.
Kaling’s book, “Why Not Me?” is set to release on September 29th of this year. The chapter in question is titled “I Love Sex Scenes!” and is just one of many reasons that I’m definitely going to give it a read.
