The more I’m on the internet, the more I find myself asking, “They can’t be serious, right?” While I like to think I can differentiate satire from serious, it’s hard to tell the days. Cough, Nicole Arbour, cough. So when I ran across Yandy’s newest YouTube video I was conflicted. The website that sells the Sexy(?) Donald Trump costume obviously has some sense of humor. How else do you explain putting a woman in a frumpy combover wig and calling it sexy?
The music (if you can call it that) video is an original track titled, “The Halloween Song (Who You Gonna Be?),” and it looks like it could’ve been taken straight from an episode of “Saturday Night Live.” Feast your eyes, and prepare your ears for Kidz Bop level vocals.
A twerking cop?! A pizza slice taking a selfie?! The lyric, “Look out! I put the ass in assassin?!?!?!” It’s all so much. For the sake of Yandy, I want so, so badly for this to be nothing more than a bad attempt at a joke. But I fear it’s not.
