The 2013 Golden Globes: The Good, The Bad, The WTF

The Worst

5. Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn looked out of place on Sunday’s runway in her Armani gown. I didn’t like the mixing of the prints, or the mixing of the colors. To me, the look was both too casual and too busy all at once. I also don’t understand why she opted to slick her hair back, because her dress was definitely not enough of a statement make her to stand alone without great hair and makeup. Nice try, Olivia, but you missed the mark.

4. Julia Louis-Dreyfus

The Best Actress nominee looked absolutely terrible in custom Vera Wang. The color scheme made her look like she was going to a funeral, not an awards show. Not to mention, the dress looked way too big on her. She was literally drowning in layers of black lace, and it was absolutely terrible.

3. Julianna Marguiles

I wasn’t sure if I was looking at The Good Wife star or Wednesday Adams in her less than impressive Emilio Pucci number. She was either channeling a gothic princess or a Geisha girl with the dress’s high neckline, cap sleeves, and her slicked back ponytail, neither of which was a good idea. The red lips threw it over the top. She was all over the place, and the red carpet was definitely not the best place for her confused look.

2. Lena Dunham

The GIRLS star may have won big, but she looked so terrible it was sad. Her Zac Posen gown did absolutely nothing for her. The dress looked more like a tent, and less like a red carpet gown, for starters. The color was way too dark and bland, especially for a star as young as Lena. Plus, her hair…eek. Even if we ignore the fact that she couldn’t walk in her heels (did anyone else notice her walk up to the stage a little, uh, less than gracefully?), Dunham still couldn’t have pulled off that dress in any way, shape, or form. I know this is her first awards season, but she’s really going to need to hire a stylist.

1. Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory actress’s look was reminiscent of Leighton Meester’s fashion mistake at last year’s Met Gala. The nude tone of Kaley’s Zuhair Murad dress completely drowned her out, instead of making her pale skin glow. As if the awful gown wasn’t enough, Cuoco’s choice in lipstick was way too dark, taking the look from tragic to past the point of no return. Between her messy bun of an updo and the frayed look of the dress’s tulle skirt, Kaley looked more like a vampire than a young Hollywood starlet.
