The Best Mom In The World Has Turned Her Special Needs Daughter Into A Princess And You’ll Actually Cry

Disney Princess

Growing up, most of us wanted to be royalty. We dreamed of wearing beautiful dresses, hanging out with princes, and having that happily ever after. Kristina Bewley, a photographer, mother, and wish-granter has made all of that, and more, happen for her four-year-old daughter, Giselle.

Giselle is a beautiful, outgoing, strong-willed little girl with Down syndrome. But if you think the fact that she has special needs defines her, you’re SO wrong. In fact, according to Huffington Post, Kristina said that, “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.” And Giselle is far from having a bad attitude. Instead, this role model of a little girl takes the time to appreciate things a little bit more. She smiles at strangers, laughs freely, and sees the world in the most beautiful light. All qualities that make for a perfect princess, if I do say so myself.

And so, since it just so happens the Giselle is o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with Disney, her mother decided to really turn her into a princess. Many princesses, actually. Kristina has worked tirelessly to make countless princess dresses for Giselle. Then, once a month, when her little girl is dressed for the ball, she takes her to Disney with their annual passes. Giselle spends her time strolling around the park, hanging out with “royalty,” and experiencing the magic that only “the happiest place on Earth” can offer. And the results? A-maze-ing.

It’s fine if you’re sobbing uncontrollably. We all are. According to the article, Giselle’s literal fairy godmother “Hopes that when people see her Disney-fied photos of Giselle, they won’t fixate on her disability but will simply see ‘a little girl having a great time, enjoying life in one of the most innocent stages we have.”

Thanks Giselle, for showing us what it means to be a true princess. And thank you, Kristina, for making me call me mom for about an hour and telling her how much I love her. You’re making magic happen all over the world, thanks to the unconditional love you show your beautiful daughter.
