23. GIRLS
I don’t think I’m alone in saying that GIRLS was the best new show of 2012. I don’t normally like people like Lena Dunham, but I can’t deny her genius contribution to television. She’s given us four new, crazy 20-somethings to obsess over, and I’m pretty sure she stalked me for six months in order to write Shoshanna. Where Sex and The City came through in the 90’s, GIRLS speaks to our generation as we foster hatred for our roommates and deal with being cut off by our rude parents.
