Women Are Smarter Than Men, So We Need More Sleep

Sleep

Ever wonder why your man-friend seems to be able to function on little to no sleep, while you’re a complete disaster unless you get a full eight hours? Well, apparently, it’s because you’re smarter than he is. I’m sure you already knew that, but now science has actually has proven it.

A study conducted by researchers at the Sleep Research Center at Loughborough University in Leicestershire, England found that women actually really do need more sleep than men because their brains are more complex.

According to Professor Jim Horne, the director of the Sleep Research Center, “Women’s brains are wired differently . . . so their sleep need will be slightly greater. Women tend to multi-task – they do lots at once and are flexible – and so they use more of their actual brain than men do.”

Professor Horne went on to explain why ladies get so bitchtastic when we don’t get enough shut-eye: “For women, poor sleep is strongly associated with high levels of psychological distress and greater feelings of hostility, depression, and anger. In contrast, these feelings were not associated with the same degree of sleep disruption in men.”

So next time he wakes you up in the wee hours of the morning for a BJ, remind him that science says you would be totally justified in giving his dick a bite instead of a blow, and then roll over and drift back into dreamland. Your brain has a lot to do today.
