Airband and step shows were a huge part of my college and particularly my sorority experience. Every year the panhellenic sororities put on huge dance competitions and the multicultural sororities participated in step shows, until my junior year, when we combined the two. The multicultural sororities taught the panhellenic sororities how to step, and it was one of the hugest most incredible productions I’ve ever been a part of.
This became a pastime on my campus and watching videos of sorority productions became an obsession. The video of my sorority winning our senior year still gives me chills.
Unfortunately, the accompanying video with 2011’s technology leaves a lot to be desired.
The video of us learning to step was even worse.
So, with Step Sisters, so exactly reminding me of my own college experience, it’s the perfect opportunity to relive my obsession of watching these awesome competitions, collect sorority performance videos from all over the country in 2017 in search of the best one, with a prize for the winner of $5,000 toward their philanthropy!
