“But I will always jump at the opportunity to give people a different perspective.”
Clearly, this is the case. But for future reference, don’t be surprised when people aren’t massively receptive to what you have to say, especially when you come in hot to a medium like this that is literally devoted to and populated almost entirely by Greeks and start telling people how they should and shouldn’t think.
“That’s why I commented in the first place. Because I knew people would be butthurt about someone outside of their community jumping in and giving another view.”
So you knew you would piss some people off…and you went for it anyway? Alright then. Seems productive.
“I think treating people like shit for being different is not what being Greek is about. ”
You’re absolutely right, it’s not. No one would argue this. And generalizing to say that most Greeks treat independents like shit would be wrong and inaccurate, as I’m sure you know, just like it would be inaccurate generalizing to say that most Greeks think independents go through their college careers wistfully regretting not rushing.
“What I do care about is how Greeks feel they get to perceive people outside of their community; that’s just not fair.”
1. Not sure why you care about this.
2. You may not think that’s fair. I don’t think affirmative action is very damn fair to me. But life is full of things that aren’t fair.
3. If you wanted to effect true change in the Greek community, for better or for worse, you should have pledged somewhere and made it happen from the inside out. That’s how these things are done, if you’re really serious about it. But you didn’t, and so your platform from which to lecture us is minimal if even existent at all. Greeks get to perceive people outside the community however they see fit. You could have played a part in that perception, but, you know, you chose not to…intentionally. We’ll take care of it ourselves.
You never answered the question of why you, a self-professed independent, spend your time commenting on a website devoted to the Greek lifestyle. I know that if I wasn’t Greek, I wouldn’t care about Greek life comedy websites or even read them at all. So unless you have a really good response to this, everyone is going to keep shitting on you, because you’ve put yourself in a weak position. Do you see what I’m getting at?
That’s why you party in the basement or dining room instead and make pledges guard the nice parts of the house. Alumni get heated when that shit is fucked up.
^ But the drinking age across the rest of the world is like 12. Maybe. The US is the only country that even remotely cares about trying to enforce an unreasonably high drinking age.
I came out of retirement just to ^ this comment.
My money’s on Sigma Chi too. In Hoc.
Don’t know about kicking, but I’d definitely do some other things to that ass on the left.

So… rush as a sophomore? If you go to the kind of school that only has 4 sororities, it’s probably not the same kind that doesn’t bid sophomore girls.
^^^ HA, GAY!
No women want to talk to you, Dale.
Truth.
^^ Her issues with her own body, actually.
Couldn’t help but notice that all of these have a common theme.

We have a staff fight, ya’ll.

Good God I’m so glad I was born with a penis.
WHO ARE YOU??
Gotta love this guy’s take my ball and go home attitude towards Obamacare.
Well, perhaps I was a little harsh. I hear their social clubs are pretty much just like Greek houses for all intents and purposes.
