I don’t think I’d be offended by this, but the wording IS very inappropriate and definitely called for the district office to take action. When I graduated from high school, the guys had zero choice on what to wear: black pants, white button-up, and a solid-colored tie. The girls had much more freedom; we could wear any dress, romper, shirt/short combo, etc., as long as it didn’t look like we were about to go to a club when we took off our gowns to turn them in.
