  1. He never watches ahead on your Netflix shows. (Seriously, do some guys not understand that this is punishable by death and/or the withholding of sex for a month?)
  2. He’s seen you when you actually just woke up, and he didn’t run screaming from the bedroom.
  3. He hates the same people you hate.
  4. He at least pretends to listen when you talk.
  5. He tells you that you’re pretty, even if it’s just because you asked him to tell you that you’re pretty.
  6. He lets you pop his pimples.
  7. He manages to keep his best friends on Snapchat to his boys and you.
  8. He doesn’t think you’re crazy.
  9. Okay, well, he hides the fact that he thinks you’re truly freaking insane.
  10. He lets you pick the movie, even though it’s highly likely you’ll pick the one where Katherine Heigl realizes she doesn’t have to be perfect in the end.
  11. He pretends not to be embarrassed by how many pictures you post of the two of you.
  12. And he doesn’t make a big fuss when you post his senior picture as your #MCM, even though he hates it.
  13. He plans your future with you.
  14. He doesn’t run screaming from the room when you suggest names for your future kids.
  15. He makes you laugh, even if it’s at his expense.
  16. He pushes you to go after your dreams, even if it means that you become a starving artist and part-time waitress just trying to make it in the world.
  17. He tells you that you’re way hotter than your hot friends.
  18. Basically, he’s willing to lie to protect your feelings.
  19. He accepts the fact that you’re going to Facebook stalk him and any girl he’s ever spoken to.
  20. He gets rid of the things his exes gave him because they make you uncomfortable.
  21. Better yet, he lets YOU get rid of those things. It’s liberating, trust me.
  22. He accepts your best guy friend.
  23. But he understands why you’re wary of his best girl friend.
  24. He cooks for you because you manage to burn everything that you touch.
  25. He doesn’t complain when you almost set the house on fire trying to cook — instead, he says something like, “I would rather treat you, anyway.”
  26. He understands that sometimes you don’t feel like answering his texts or calls.
  27. But he knows that he sure as hell better answer yours.
  28. He opens doors for you.
  29. He pays, but lets you grab the bill for coffee so you don’t feel guilty about the $50 dinner he just bought you.
  30. He’s not afraid to kiss you, hold your hand, or tell you he loves you in front of his friends.
  31. He’s cool with playing Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide the important things in your relationship, like who’s going to get dinner or what to name your firstborn.
  32. He dances with you. In public. Even if you suck. And he’s not embarrassed.
  33. He pretends that he doesn’t notice the three French fries you just stole off of his plate, even though you’re “on a diet and totally don’t need that grease-covered garbage.”
  34. He apologizes when he knows he’s done something wrong.
  35. He remembers your birthday.
  36. He laughs at your terrible, corny jokes.
  37. Most of all, at the end of the day, you realize that whether it’s seven days or seventy years, he’s the guy you want to wake up next to every single morning. There’s not a question in your mind about if you’re with the right person or doing the right thing, because he shows you every day, in every way, that you are.
