As I perused the Valentine’s Day Card aisle the other night in search of the perfect V-Day card for my boyfriend mom, I noticed something: not a single one of the cards that are meant for “lovers” is something I would actually send to a guy. I mean, “I’ll love you forever and always” is more likely to make him run for the hills than put a ring on my finger. And never mind the cheesy “friendship” ones us ladies like to send to each other so we can at least say we got a Valentine. I love my ladies, but let’s leave the corny quotes to Instagram, shall we? So in the interest of making Valentine’s Day a little more realistic, how about the greeting card companies start selling some cards like these?
Ain’t love grand?.
