I hear there’s a stigma attached to female masturbation. I lived for years and years totally unaware of it, because I became a big fan of my vajay when I was three years old, with no discouragement from my mother when I told her I “learned a trick that made me feel good.” She told me what I was feeling was perfectly normal, but not to do it in front of other people. Aside from two times with my boyfriend my sophomore year, I followed that advice.
However, the majority of you probably discovered your vaginas at a more appropriate age, and for you, flicking the bean is a little taboo — so taboo that some of you won’t do it lie about doing it. Luckily for you, Tina Gong recently invented an app called HappyPlayTime, which is essentially a masturbatory aid for women, advising you to “Love Your Vulva.” Lol. Vulva.
The purpose of the app is to educate women with masturbation facts — 20% of women do it to help themselves fall asleep, and 44% of women started discovering themselves between the ages of 10 and 14. The main goal, however is to help familiarize women with their anatomies. The app provides some interactive “how tos” when it comes to climaxing, all brought to us by a cute little vagina. Seriously, the thing’s adorable.
Still in the development stages, the app does not seem to include porn or erotica (put your imagination caps on, ladies!), but I’m all for this, nonetheless. Reaching the big O is hard to do, despite what every issue of Cosmopolitan has been telling us since we were 14.
HappyPlayTime will be ready for download sometime this fall. Get excited. (Pun intended.)
