Well, it’s about time somebody dedicated a museum to Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s been my best friend’s favorite athlete since we were in, like, 9th grade, and it’s not because she fancies soccer. Just because loving yourself this much is “frowned upon,” doesn’t mean I’m judging him for it. Tons of people exhibit this level of self-importance — Kim Kardashian, Tyra Banks, Derek Jeter, Kanye West, me, the list goes on.
The Cristiano Ronaldo museum will open in Funchal, Portugal, the capital of the Portuguese island where he grew up, on December 15. The museum will come complete with memorabilia collected from the soccer star’s travels. The real question, of course, is whether or not the walls will be plastered with oversized photos of Ronaldo shirtless. Fingers crossed.
He has, however, confirmed that he’s already reserved a space for the Ballon d’Or 2013, which I had to look up to learn is the official “You’re the best soccer player in the world” award. I dig your style, Ronaldo, and not just because my father’s name is Ronald and my parents are divorced. I dig your style.
