13-year-old Danielle (and her mother) are perhaps the most brilliant Girl Scouts in the world. Most girls just send their order forms into work with their parents and get a badge for it. (Nobody’s got time to go door-to-door.) Danielle decided to tap into a new market: pot smokers! She parked a stand in front of Green Cross marijuana dispensary in San Francisco, and ended up with astounding results.
“After 45 minutes she had to call for reinforcement cookies…back-ups. Her mother was quoted as saying that she sold about 117 boxes in 2 hours.”
Danielle’s mother also shared that this was four times the amount of cookies they sold outside a Safeway the next day.
Girl Scouts of California’s official statement explained that it is up to the parents where they wish to sell cookies. So Cali. Girl Scouts of Colorado, however, were less liberal in their beliefs…which is weird, because it’s Colorado.
If you are wondering, we don’t allow our Girl Scouts to sell cookies in front of marijuana shops or liquor stores/bars.

So sassy, Colorado. #SoSrat #SoCollege
Danielle’s mother maintains that her choice to sell in front of the marijuana dispensary was in order to show Danielle different parts of town and open up a conversation about drugs. Not sure if I buy that, but hey! Cookies for everyone.
