Kay Gives You Fake Diamonds On The Sneaky, If You Needed A New Reason Not To Get Your Ring There

It’s rumored that the day you get engaged is supposed to be the one of the best days of your life. I never really understood how opting to spend the rest of your life without having to shave your vagina for sex and promising to refrain from succumbing to the temptation of tequila-induced hookups with random hotties made for the best day ever but then again I’m single as a Pringle so there’s that.

Recently a woman’s “best day ever” went south pretty damn quickly after she discovered the diamond in her $4,299.99 certified wedding bling had been replaced for a fake by the Westminster Mall Kay repair shop.

According to Buzzfeed, in February Crissy Clarius sent her 14-karat white-gold 1-carat diamond wedding ring into the Kay repair store because one of the prongs was loose. Clarius said she began to feel that something wasn’t right when the Kay employee couldn’t find the certification number on the diamond so she took the ring to get the diamond certified at another jeweler. The result: it wasn’t a diamond. Clarius was devastated and proceeded to take the diamond to another jeweler from whom she received the same result. But when she took the ring to Kay, they allegedly reported that the stone was tested as a diamond.

Since Clarius posted her complaint on the Kay Facebook page hundreds of women have contacted her coming forward with similar stories of their own. Kay is now working with Clarius to solve the issue but Clarius says that even if it does get worked out she feels “robbed and disappointed.”

It sounds like Kay is up to some shady shit but at the end of the day, my message remains the same: avoid the jewelry scam heartbreak by staying single..
