In the fourth grade, I wrote a poem that won some kind of creative award. It was about flowers or some shit. I still pride myself on that poem because I haven’t really won many other awards in life. Unfortunately for me, Kanye’s recent poem about McDonald’s probably would have put my ass to shame. He’s more than a rapper, he’s a poetic genius.
Frank Ocean released a print magazine called “Boys Don’t Cry” on Saturday at pop-up shops in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Chicago. The magazine featured many artists such as A$AP Rocky, James Blake, and Tyler, the Creator. Naturally, Kanye West decided to take away most of the attention with his love for McDonald’s in a poem titled “The McDonald’s Man.” Read this and prepare to never walk into McDonald’s the same again.
McDonald’s man / McDonald’s man / The french fries had a plan / The french fries had a plan / The salad bar and the ketchup made a band / Cus the french fries had a plan / The french fries had a plan / McDonald’s man / McDonald’s / I know them french fries have a plan / I know them french fries have a plan / The cheeseburger and the shakes formed a band / To overthrow the french fries plan / I always knew them french fries was evil, man / Smelling all good and sh-t / I don’t trust no food that smells that good man / I don’t trust it / I just can’t / McDonald’s man / McDonald’s man / McDonald’s, damn / Them french fries look good tho / I knew the Diet Coke was jealous of the fries / I knew the McNuggets was jealous of the fries / Even the McRib was jealous of the fries / I could see it through his artificial meat eyes / And he only be there some of the time / Everybody was jealous of them french fries / Except for that one special guy / That smooth apple pie.
Rappers are now writing poems about fast food restaurants. I love 2016..
