NYX Cosmetics is one of the best drugstore brands out there. A lot of drugstore makeup is hit or miss, but everything available from NYX is awesome quality at a fair price, and as someone who buys A LOT of both high end and drugstore makeup, my credit card bill appreciates it when I go for a NYX lipstick instead of YSL. NYX recently upped their game by coming out with a vault, and as far as I know, they’re the only drugstore brand to do so.
Brands like Urban Decay have come out with makeup vaults before, and while the idea of owning an entire collection gives me a makeup orgasm, the cost of such a thing makes me want to cry. The cost of the Urban Decay Vault II was $165, which is actually a steal when you consider you’re getting six eyeshadow palettes, but it’s still a hell of a lot of money to drop on makeup at one time.
NYX Cosmetics came out with their own vault, and not only is it a ton of makeup, but it’s also affordable. They revealed their Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick Vault on Instagram Stories today and I physically cannot breathe.
Look. At. Those. Colors. 24 gorgeous shades ranging from nudes to brights to vampy colors. If you buy this (which, let’s be honest, you will), you probably won’t need to buy any other lipstick ever again (which, let’s be honest, you probably will). The products aren’t full sized, but has anyone seriously ever finished a lipstick? Not me. The miniature sizes are adorable and practical and look at that, I’m already rationalizing this purchase.
Now to the important stuff: price. NYX hasn’t released an official price for this vault yet, but keep in mind that their last vault cost $65, so I have a feeling it will be somewhere in that neighborhood. For comparison’s sake, Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick vault is $240 (!!!) so really, buying the NYX lipstick vault would be a steal and you should probably do it so you aren’t tempted to buy the Kat Von D one. Right? Right.
The vault will be available online and wherever NYX is sold. The launch date for this bad boy is still unknown, but you better get your credit card information ready now because the last time NYX dropped a vault, it sold out in less than two days. Don’t take that chance. Buy this the second it comes out, or regret it later. .
