It seems that the trend in makeup world is to be obsessed with everything new that comes out, ever. And so, Jeffree Star has come out with a BLACK highlighter, and people are losing their damn minds for it.
But frankly, I don’t know how to feel. I don’t know how this would work. Isn’t the point of a highlighter to mimic light catching your cheekbones? Since when are we redefining highlighter to mean any product that shimmers? The brand had the following to say about the product:

Okay, so it’s a highlighter, but you have no intention of actually using it as a highlighter? Because it doesn’t actually make sense as a highlighter. Got it. I suppose I can get on board. The product seems to be very pigmented, which is a great thing for a Halloween look.
