Starbucks’ New Hot Apple Pie Latte Can Only Be Purchased In Japan Because We Can’t Have Nice Things

Ever since PSL season ended, there’s been a significant void in my life. Sure, I’ve been trying to fill it with endless skinny peppermint mochas and gingerbread lattes, but there’s just something about combining seasonal spices and produce with hot coffee and warm steamed milk that fills your soul with joy. For coffee lovers in Japan, you’re in luck, because Starbucks just came out with an amazing hot apple pie latte that will keep you as warm inside as your favorite holiday sweater. Unfortunately for the rest of us, we’ll just have to figure out how to live without it.

If you ever wanted to pull a Shoshana, now is definitely the time because, like all of Starbucks’ other limited-edition drinks, this one won’t last long. In case you’re more of a cold beverage drinker, Starbs Japan will also be offering the hot apple pie latte in frappucino form, which looks like it contains actual apple pie pieces in it. Honestly, if I would have known that I could get the pie without all of the questions from relatives about why I’m not married yet, I probably would have given Thanksgiving a pass this year. Maybe it’s a good thing I won’t be able to get my hands on it after all.

Missing out on this latte definitely sucks, but on the bright side, Starbucks just came out with yet another limited-edition drink for the U.S. to help us get through these dark and dangerous times. Hot chocolate and cookie lovers, head over to your nearest coffee shop for a red cup or twelve, because Starbs has just released a new snickerdoodle hot chocolate, which sounds like everything dreams are made of. Combining white chocolate with cinnamon dolce syrup with a sprinkle of the same cinnamon sugar everyone’s favorite cookie is rolled in has created the most magical drink you didn’t know you needed this holiday season. For extra holiday spirit, pair with a Starbucks toffeedoodle cookie and Instagram the shit out of that red cup – just do yourself a favor and try not to check the nutrition facts, ok?
