“Mean Girls: The Musical” Finally Has Release Date

Mean Girls

When Mean Girls: The Musical was teased to us last October 3, girl world finally understood what it meant to be blue-balled. Waiting an entire year for the Hamilton of our generation to make its way to the big boy stage was the literal opposite of fetch. But now we can all breathe Lion’s breath of relief because we finally have a release date: October 31, 2017.

Though the musical’s cast has yet to be selected, the show’s initial announcement last year prompted some fans to come up with fantasy casting including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Aaron Tviet, and Lea Michele. Whoever the cast is, I just hope they put on a reality TV show like they did with Legally Blonde: The Musical to find the lead roles. Imagining Lindsay Lohan saying “I’m sorry Cady #5, your limit does exist” and then get hit by an actual bus every time they got eliminated gets me giddy with excitement.

Single ticket prices are not yet available, although group packages and season passes are already on sale via the National Theatre in Washington D.C.

Ahhh. Nothing like good news on a Tuesday amiright?
