Fall means different things to different people. For me, it means drinking a daily PSL until Thanksgiving and baking some sort of pumpkin dessert on Pinterest–assuming it will have no effect on my waistline because pumpkin is technically a veggie–all while wearing riding boots, leggings, flannel, a vest, an infinity scarf, and a top bun. For some, it’s the beginning of the holiday season, and for others, it means that it’s the beginning of Lifetime Christmas movie season. For many, however, fall means only one thing: football season. As any football fanatic will tell you, his or her team and fan base are the best, and no one cares about football more than he or she does. The New York Times released a map showing who actually does, in fact, care the most about college football:
Unsurprisingly, Alabama ranks the highest of states that care most about college football. The SEC is the most popular conference according to all the pink and purple on the map, but it looks like parts of the Midwest are pretty into their teams, too. I mean, what else do they have to do but stare at cornfields all day, right? The New York Times also broke down college football fandom in a bar graph:
