Our hearts are with the Theta Sigma chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at the University of North Florida, as they mourn a sister who perished in a plane crash on Thursday.

18-year-old Maitland Harvey was flying from Ocala to Tallahassee on a small plane piloted by her cousin, 32 year old William Swiggart, on Thursday evening, when air traffic controllers lost contact with the aircraft around 8 p.m. The wreckage was found south of Interstate 10 in Madison County around 11 a.m. on Friday. Maitland, who according to her Facebook page was a native of Knoxville, TN, and her cousin unfortunately did not survive.

The chapter shared this regarding their fallen sister:

Sisterhood is many things. It's a warm smile on a cold and rainy day, a friendly hug, a cheerful hello… It's all that…

Beautiful words to remember a beautiful sister.
