Amy Adams: she’s good looking, a great actress, and probably one of the nicest people in the world. Right before her plane took off from Detroit to Los Angeles, Adams very discreetly asked a U.S. soldier to switch seats with her. She switched her first class ticket with the soldier’s coach ticket. What a gesture! Adams’ good deed did not go unseen, as Jemele Hill, cohost of ESPN2’s “Numbers Never Lie,” reported Amy’s kind gesture to ABC News.
“I noticed Ms. Adams was in first class and as I was getting seated, I saw the flight attendant guide the soldier to Ms. Adams’ seat. She was no longer in it, but it was pretty clear that she’d given up her seat for him.”
Hill then went on to talk about how Adams did not want any attention–though Hill kind of ruined that.
“Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character.”
I bet the soldier’s seat-mate in coach was extremely surprised to see Amy Adams sit down next to him or her. Plus, Adams has a deep appreciation for the Armed Forces, as her father was in the U.S. military. If you don’t like Amy Adams’ acting–even though she’s an Oscar nominee and a Golden Globe winner–you at least have to admit she’s a classy lady.
