HALLELUJAH. Let them sing praises to Starbucks and their devotion to the white girl. We all mark September 2nd as the beginning of fall — and not because it’s after Labor Day weekend, or because August is over, or because we can finally start wearing riding boots again (!!!). No, we mark this day as special because it marks the return of our much-beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, known in girl speak as PSL, at Starbucks, our Mecca. This year though, Christmas is coming early. It’s been confirmed that Starbucks will begin selling PSLs on August 25th — yes, people, that’s less than TEN DAYS AWAY.
This news has been confirmed from PSL’s official Twitter account (yes, that exists) and on Jimmy Fallon’s show. The syrup has been shipped to most stores, so you might even be able to get one a little earlier if you ask nicely. So put a sticker in your calendars and a reminder in your phone, because in the words of Ned Stark, “Fall is coming.” Or at least that’s what he would have said if he were a white girl.
