Bill Maher Goes On Most Aggressive Frat-Hating Tirade Of The Week

Well, people, it’s officially “fraternity hunting season,” thanks to the recent displays of racism in the Greek system, and people have absolutely no mercy. Bill Maher, an over-the-top liberal comedian had some words to say about fraternities recently and SURPRISE! They were not good. He starts out with a few basic quips making a jab at homoeroticism in pledgeship (not very accepting of people’s sexuality, by the way), but then shit gets real. For five full minutes, he goes on to explain how fraternities “kill people,” and totally wipe society’s young men of original thought and ideas.

It’s true there is some level of conformity within Greek organizations as there is within any social group, really. And look, Greek life isn’t for everyone — I’ve been saying that since my first recruitment as a member, when I met a mouth-breathing PNM. But even in the name of comedy, Maher gets a little too aggressive for my liking.
