In a weekend that seemed full of tragic car accidents, another incident claimed the lives of three Sigma Lambda Gamma sisters from Creighton University. Three of the four women killed in the crash, Akuel Majouk, Yoselin Deleon, and Jennifer Guzman, were juniors at Creighton University and members of the sorority. The fourth, Mariana Ramirez, was a former Creighton student and good friend of the ladies.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Majouk, the Tau Delta chapter’s president, was driving a 2001 Honda CRV with the other three women as passengers. She was driving south of Omaha, NE on Saturday evening when she swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle then crossed into the northbound lane where it was struck broadside by a northbound 1999 Toyota 4Runner, whose driver is currently hospitalized.
The sisters of the Tau Delta chapter shared their sadness in a Facebook post:
It is with great regret that I must inform everyone that at around 7pm yesterday evening, 3 of our sisters were involved…
