Beyoncé might be one of the most powerful women in the world, but the girl has weaknesses. Shoes. Gorgeous, diamond-encrusted, high-heeled shoes.
Queen Bey succumbed to her greatest weakness recently when she purchased this pair of stilettos by the English jewelry purveyor House of Borgezie as part their Princess Constellation for a cool £200,000, or around $311,000 in regular money.
This pair of shoes is referred to as the “crown jewels of stilettos,” and the name certainly fits. It looks like they were made for a Queen. Queen Bey, of course. They come in solid platinum or 18-carat gold, in case you’re in the market for a $311,000 pair of shoes you can never actually wear because they’re so stunningly expensive and beautiful. They were designed by Christopher Michael Shellis and even come with not only a lifetime warranty, but a 1,000 year warranty. So if Beyoncé accidentally steps on a piece of gum on the sidewalk or Blue Ivy plays dress up with mommy’s shoes and ruins them, she can just swap ’em out for a new pair. Blue, Blue’s daughter, and even great-great-great-great granddaughter have the same guarantee.
Beyoncé claims she bought the shoes for her next music video, but we all know that’s just the excuse she told Jay-Z when he freaked out over their monthly credit card statement. It’s the oldest trick in the book. “I didn’t just buy them because I wanted them. I NEEDED them to advance my ever-growing music career, babe!” No need to make up excuses with us, Bey. You went on a shopping spree and things got a little crazy. We’ve all been there..
