If you thought you had a crazy fight with your boyfriend, it might not be as bad as you think. Yesterday, a couple in Gastonia, North Carolina got arrested for the most ridiculous reason: throwing pizza rolls at each other.
Samantha Brooke Canipe, 21, and Brad Scott Beard, 24, “got into a fight about 1 a.m. at their apartment…by throwing pizza rolls at each other,” Fox 46 reports. It’s still ambiguous what exactly the couple was fighting about and how they assaulted each other with pizza rolls.
Canipe and Beard are each being held on a $2,500 bond. If convicted Canipe could face up to 30 days in jail, while Beard faces up to 60.
Excuse me while I recompose myself. The only information is that they were throwing pizza rolls at each other, which is awesome, but unsatisfying. Just like pizza rolls. How did the 911 call go?
“911, what’s your emergency?”
“Hi, yes, there is a couple that lives upstairs and they are getting into quite the fight.”
“Does it sound like it’s getting physical?”
“Is throwing pizza rolls at each other physical enough?”
“We’ll send a squad right away.”
Did the police have to tell them to put their weapons down, only to hear the soft piddling of pizza rolls hitting the linoleum? Did they have any sense of shame when they were handcuffed over such an asinine reason? These questions may never be answered, but there is no such thing as a stupid question. There is a stupid reason to get arrested though, and that is for throwing pizza rolls..
