For many of us, it’s hard to get excited about football. I mean, tailgating is fun, and bite-sized foods are fun, and parties are fun, but the actual game? Slightly less fun. Thankfully, the NFL wised up and partnered with Bloomingdale’s and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) — I know, this is getting more exciting already — and made football a little more fashionable. Forty-eight designers created football helmets with a little pizazz in honor of Super Bowl XLVIII to be auctioned off before the big game. Some helmets are already up to about $1000, and I foresee them going much higher. They’re so fab, I almost care about the big game.
