Girls Everywhere Are Completely Losing Their Shit Over The New Naked Palette Because It's Absolutely Everything

Smoky eyes are what every girl wants when she begins her makeup for a night out, but the result ends up looking more like you just got punched in the face. I’m sure you tried, but it turned out a little more Taylor Momsen than Kendall Jenner. By the end of the night and after a few drinks, that black eyeshadow has fallen down onto your cheekbones and then smeared across your face. Not cute.

Enter Urban Decay to save you from this makeup catastrophe. Urban Decay’s Naked eye shadow palettes are probably the most widely owned makeup palette, and for good reason. The colors from the previous palettes are neutral (hence the name ‘naked’) and therefore idiot-proof. With the amount of tutorials on Pinterest and Youtube using these palettes, anyone with opposable thumbs could create a halfway decent look. Even my own mother caved and bought one, and she hasn’t changed her makeup routine in a decade. There was the original Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3 and now the newest addition to this cult favorite, the Naked Smokey. Just look at it. It’s beautiful.

Naked Smokey is similar to previous Naked palettes, but instead of containing only neutrals, the Naked Smokey contains all the colors you need to create the perfect smoky eye for a night out. There are 12 shades in total, ranging from an off-white matte shadow to a deep, shimmering black. It comes with a double ended brush and, if you need it, a step-by-step guide on how to create four different smoky looks. Take a look at the difference between the Naked 3 and the Naked Smoky.

The palette will cost $54 and is available July 8 on UrbanDecay.com and Sephora in limited quantities, but you might want to get in line now because there’s already a waitlist and it’s expected to sell out quickly. People are rightfully freaking out, because Naked palettes are life and this one is so vastly different from what came before that it could be exactly what your makeup collection is missing. The monthlong wait for the palette is making girls crazy. Memes are being made. It’s absolute madness out there.
