Guy Kills His Girlfriend After She Accidentally Screams Her Ex’s Name During Sex

A man named Fidel Lopez is on trial in Florida for the murder of his girlfriend, Maria Nemeth. On the night of the murder, neighbors say they heard loud arguing for about two hours. Lopez called 911 in the early morning hours saying that his girlfriend was having trouble breathing. When authorities got there, they found Lopez crying over Nemeth’s dead, naked body.

Police found blood and body tissue scattered all over the apartment the couple had shared for only one week, along with holes in the wall, a shattered glass door, and another door ripped from its hinges. Nothing about the crime scene indicated that Nemeth’s death was accidental.

There was a half empty bottle of 1800 Tequila in the apartment, which Lopez says was consumed before the couple started having sex. After Nemeth accidentally called out her ex-husband’s name, Lopez admits he went crazy. He says he became a “monster,” disemboweling his girlfriend and leaving her unconscious in a closet. He continued to smash things in the house before returning to Nemeth, where he mutilated her body with various objects, including both his fists. When he was done, he tried to wake her up with running water, but she didn’t respond.

Lopez made a frantic call to 911, but by the time the paramedics got there, she was already gone. They pronounced her dead on the scene.

Truly horrifying.
