When it comes to “Sex and the City” and Carrie’s romantic choice, there’s a lot of discrepancy. Should she have ended up with Mr. Big? Should she have cut the shit and stayed with Aidan because he was the actual perfect man? Should she have ended up alone considering her questionable hat choices? Who knows? What we do know is that when it all comes down to it, Carrie ended up with a ring on her finger (instead of around her neck) and a happily-ever-after. But how? She’s annoying, indecisive, and way too over the top, sometimes.
According to Candace Bushnell, the author of “SATC,” there’s a secret to landing a man. In an interview with Huffpost Live, the real live Carrie explain how to find your Mr. Big.
Basically, move. GTFO. Find an isolated place where very few woman are, and just exist there. Easy. I mean, statistically you’re bound to snag a guy if you’re the only option. As always, “Carrie” gives the most frustrating advice. Sure, it’ll work, but it’s also kind of annoying that you need to move to fucking Aspen. No one wants to pack up their shit and relocate just to stay inside and watch Netflix because the thought of actually going on dates is daunting. So if that whole “go somewhere else” thing doesn’t sound plausible to you, Bushnell went on to say that even though finding a guy in a big city is hard, finding your Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha might not be.
From Huffpost Live:
What’s always been so inspiring about the city is that you have all these wonderful relationships with your girlfriends and with other women. New York City is about the women. I find that women in New York are so interesting, smart, funny, together. They’re really, really great.
Besides, as Charlotte once said, “Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.”.
