Hot Professional Baseball Player Just Got Hotter, Will Walk Up To Bat With “Let It Go” From “Frozen”

Tony Sanchez

I remember my first baseball game. It was senior week. My friends and I had pregamed all day before we were stuffed like sardines onto hot school buses to head to Pittsburgh for a Pirates game. It was like getting on those buses had reverted my entire graduating class back to our grade school selves. I don’t know how the bus driver–or the girls sitting in front of us–didn’t wring our necks. See, if you’re a baseball fan, you know of the popular, high-pitched “WOO!” that drives everyone insane. To give you a frame of reference for my level of annoyingness that day, I basically lost my voice before even showing up at the ballpark. #fangirlproblems

This year, though, America’s favorite pastime is getting even better–or maybe just more annoying for some folks. Sorry, but I’m really not sorry. Tony Sanchez, a catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team, has decided to walk up to bat with the awe-inspiring song “Let It Go” blasting in the background. He released the news via Twitter on Sunday.

We couldn’t agree with you more, Tony. Can you imagine hearing an entire stadium of fans scream-singing along as he walks up to the plate? Really, this plan is total genius on Sanchez’s part. It will be a great way to get the crowd (and him, duh) pumped up for the swing. Also, it’ll totally bring in the ladies. I know I, for one, will go to a lot more games this season. Go Bucs!
