Did you know that nymphomania is a legitimate cause for divorce? Well, it is in India, anyway.
A man in Mumbai, India, was granted a divorce from his wife after seeking a separation, alleging that she had an “insatiable appetite for sex.” The man had approached the court saying his wife was “adamant, aggressive, stubborn, and autocratic.” In January, she was showing an “excessive and insatiable desire for sex” and harassed him about having more sexual congress since their marriage in April 2012.
This sounds like exactly the opposite of what most people fight about and get divorced over in this country. But can you blame him? The dude says he worked three shifts to keep a roof over his family’s head and that he was often too tired to do the deed, especially coupled with his wife’s increasing sexual demands.
Here’s where it gets weirder. The man claimed his wife forced him to consume liquor and medicine that would impair his judgment or increase his sexual virility in order to get the pipe she so craved. He also claimed his wife forced him into unnatural sex, abused and bullied him into doing it with her, and threatened to leave him for another man if he refused.
He was so abused by her actions that he actually got sick to the point where he had to be hospitalized for two weeks. Twice. The first time, she just straight-up dipped and stayed with her sister for two weeks. The second time, when he was operated on for appendicitis, she made him recover at her sister’s house and still forced sex on him. There’s something about that sister, man. It’s weird. She also threatened him if he told anyone.
He said his wife has made his life a living hell with her “cruel behaviour” and her excessive sexual proclivities, and the abuse made it hard to live under the same roof. The wife refused to appear before the court, so the judge had no choice but to grant the man a divorce. Hopefully, the wife will find all the D she’s looking for, and the man will settle down with something more his speed, like a few nice cats or something.
But seriously, this is some scary stuff, folks. Just remember, never force anyone into a sexual situation, regardless of gender. If you feel like you’re being pressured, abused, or, God forbid, something worse, seek help from the authorities immediately.
