Harry freaking Potter. God, isn’t it just the best? Growing up, I was o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with the franchise. Midnight book releases? Hell yeah. Arguing about what would and wouldn’t happen in the upcoming novels? Literally all of my childhood. Late night movie debuts? Yeah, I was first in line.
It was magical, and thanks to technology, adult-children, and this never ending obsession, we occasionally get a nod from the magical wizarding world.
Starting yesterday, J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to answer some fan questions about “Harry Potter,” writing, and life in general. As always, she managed to answer hard, awkward, and downright rude questions with grace and a little bit of sass thrown in.
.@Coffee_Is_love The first agent I ever queried sent back a slip saying 'My list is full. The folder you sent wouldn't fit in the envelope.'

.@babymegs_ Loads! First publisher to turn down Harry also sent @RGalbraith his rudest rejection. They don't even want me in a beard.

.@Always_Amo INTPs are geniuses. Get out of that corner immediately and go improve the world!

I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way.
For some reason, this “fan” didn’t seem to realize that NO ONE gets to diss Albus on J.K.’s watch. What she said next has sent a slow clap across the world.
.@anakocovic21 Maybe because gay people just look like… people?

In a world that’s finally leaning toward accepting people of all shapes, sizes, races, religions, and sexual preferences, J.K. Rowling hit the nail on the head. She has been a long-time supporter of the LGBT community, even more so after “outing” Albus Dumbledore in 2007.

Bravo J.K., and as the great Dr. Seuss once said, “A person is a person, no matter their magical ability.”.
